BankReady Terms and Conditions
Effective Date: July 23, 2026 · Last Updated: July 23, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and BankReady Inc. (“BankReady,” “we,” “us,” “our”), governing your access to and use of the BankReady website, waitlist, and application (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and a resident of Canada with the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. What BankReady Is — and Is Not
This section is the most important one in this document. Please read it carefully.
BankReady is an educational and informational software tool. It is designed to help you understand your existing credit card debt, estimate payoff timelines under different payment scenarios, and learn general concepts about how interest rates and credit products work — for example, how requesting a lower-rate version of an existing card can affect the interest you pay.
BankReady is NOT:
- A financial advisor, licensed credit counsellor, or debt settlement/debt management company;
- A provider of financial, legal, tax, credit, or investment advice;
- A negotiator or intermediary with any bank, lender, or creditor on your behalf;
- A guarantor of approval for any credit product, rate change, consolidation loan, or line of credit; approval and terms are determined solely by the relevant financial institution, based on their own criteria, at their sole discretion;
- A guarantor of any specific financial outcome, interest savings amount, or payoff date. All figures shown are estimates based on the information you provide and stated assumptions (such as your current interest rate remaining unchanged, or no new purchases being added to the balance). Actual results will vary and may differ materially from any estimate shown.
Any reference to a “guarantee” within the Service (for example, a satisfaction or delivery guarantee tied to a paid plan) refers only to your receipt of the described analysis, plan, or service itself — never to any financial outcome, savings amount, or approval decision.
If you are experiencing a financial crisis, are in active collections, or are considering insolvency, the Service is not designed for your situation, and we encourage you to contact a Licensed Insolvency Trustee or a non-profit credit counselling service in your province.
4. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep it up to date.
- Notify us immediately at info@bankready.ca if you suspect unauthorized use of your account.
5. Uploaded Statements and Financial Data
- You may upload copies of your own credit card or bank statements to generate your personalized analysis. By uploading a document, you confirm that it is your own financial information (or that you are legally authorized to share it), and you grant BankReady a limited license to process it solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.
- BankReady does not request or store your online banking username or password, and does not connect directly to any live bank account.
- See our Privacy Policy for full detail on how uploaded data is stored, protected, and eventually deleted.
6. Subscription, Trial, and Payment Terms
- BankReady may offer a free trial period of 30 days, after which continued access to paid features requires a subscription at the then-current price (currently $20 CAD/month), billed automatically on a recurring basis until cancelled.
- Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings, or by emailing info@bankready.ca. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; we do not provide partial-period refunds except as described below or as required by applicable provincial consumer protection law.
- Refunds: You may cancel at any time during your 30-day free trial at no charge. Once your paid subscription begins, payments are non-refundable, except where required by applicable provincial consumer protection law.
- Price changes: We will provide at least 30 days’ notice before any price increase takes effect for existing subscribers. Payment is processed by our third-party payment processor, Stripe; BankReady does not store your full payment card number.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
- Upload financial documents that are not your own or that you are not authorized to share;
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or scrape the Service or its underlying algorithms;
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
- Impersonate any person or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of this section.
8. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
Without limiting the foregoing:
- We do not warrant that payoff estimates, interest-savings projections, or eligibility suggestions (e.g., regarding rate conversions or consolidation loans) will be accurate, complete, or achievable, as they depend on variables outside our control, including third-party bank policies, interest rate changes, and your own future financial behaviour.
- Information about specific banks’ policies (for example, whether a “rate conversion” typically avoids a hard credit check) reflects our research and community reports available at the time of publication, is not confirmed, official bank policy, and may change or vary by individual circumstance without notice.
- We are not responsible for the actions, decisions, terms, or policies of any third-party financial institution referenced or suggested by the Service.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so some of the above exclusions may not apply to you.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BankReady Inc. and its officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or financial opportunity, arising out of or related to your use of (or inability to use) the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
To the extent any liability cannot be excluded under applicable law, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) $100 CAD.
Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable Canadian consumer protection law.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, algorithms, design, text, and branding (BankReady and Rafi Credit names and logos), is owned by BankReady Inc. and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal, non-commercial use. You retain ownership of the personal financial data and documents you upload.
11. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that violates these Terms or that we believe is harmful to other users, us, or third parties. You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you by email or through a notice on the Service before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
BankReady Inc. is incorporated federally under the Canada Business Corporations Act; these Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, where our head office is located, and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
Before initiating any formal claim, you agree to first contact us at info@bankready.ca so we can attempt to resolve the dispute informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, it will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Mississauga, Ontario.
14. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full effect. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and BankReady regarding the Service.
